More scrapping...!

I spent my day at a crop yesterday (in Ärla - great arrangement!) and I had a fab time! I felt so inspired and actually managed to get something done, besides chatting... :D

I ended up creating three more layouts using the February Cocoa Daisy kit - Journal Entry. The kit is on sale now! Hurry up before it's gone!

Tuva turns four in May and these are photos from her birthday last year...

The tiny cork stars are from a previous kit, but everything else is from the Feb kit + add ons.

I really love the stamps in the main kit - designed by Ronda Palazzari! I found these books in my dad's bookshelf and they brought so many memories alive...

Alva has been using "rövarspråket" (the robber language) a lot lately and Tuva is so cute, trying to do the same. When she is using her own version of the robber language, it sounds more or less right, but what she says makes no sense at all. :D

30 days of lists

I decided to give "30 days of lists" a try and here is the cover of my little journal. I was very inspired by Kristin's beautiful kit and I used stamps from Cocoa Daisy to create my journal. I stamped using Archival Ink and then I added some Inktense Pencils (the watercolour-look) and some splatters of mist too (Maya Mist).

Here's my first list... I decided to write in Swedish, at least this first list. I may change my mind or mix the languages later on - we'll see... :) At first I found this first subject really hard. Nothing is really new this year, if I only think about ME. But when I realized I could look a bit further, and list things that are new around me - in my family - I finally came up with some new things.

 Translation:
* Tuva started daycare
* We all caught a bad stomach bug this winter
* I became an aunt to little Vide!
* Linus started fourth grade at a new school - Paulinska.
* Alva started first grade
* Linus and Alva have registred for saxophone and drama at Kulturskolan.

Well, the conclusion is that the most exciting new thing that has happened to ME this year, is that I caught a stomach bug. =) Perhaps I should set some more fun goals for 2014? =)

More Project Art...!

This is another page I made using some supplies from the Cocoa Daisy May kit. More info about how I made this page is to be found on the Cocoa Daisy message board.

Project Art - Cocoa Daisy

Cocoa Daisy and art journaling? Yes! Christine is putting together a monthly add on that will be available in limited quantities and focused on art journaling. I am so so excited, because I will get to share techniques and inspiration on how to use the Project Art kit each month.

Using the high quality mixed media journal in the Project Art Starter Kit, I created a few pages using various supplies and bits and pieces from the May kit and add ons.

For this page I used the label stamp that comes in the Starter Kit, the Nate basics alpha stamp set and some twine from the May main kit.

I wrote "yes or no" several times, in the wet gesso and then I used mist and acrylic paint for my background.

Finally some spring weather...!

We've been enjoying some really sunny weather this weekend. It is finally beginning to feel like spring for real and I am loving it! It felt like this winter was going to last forever.

Here's a peak from my journal... Acrylic paint, stamping, drawing... I used several of my Cocoa Daisy stamps... perhaps you can spy the ink blob to the right... and the arrow with the heart is one of the more recent stamps.

Lifebook and Mindy Lacefield

This week's lesson on Lifebook was held by Mindy Lacefield. I LOVE her work so much and I really enjoyed this lesson. All of the stamps I used are from Cocoa Daisy. This was the first page I made in my Dylusions journal and so far I really love it. If you are in Sweden you can for example find it at Pyssloteket.

Have a lovely weekend!

Messy eating...

I am going to share a bunch of layouts and projects that I've created for the Scrap365 magazine. Today - a layout about messy eating. :) This was published in the August issue, 2012.

The photo was taken almost a year ago, but the eating is still sort of messy... :)

Art journaling and stamping...

Here's an art journaling page I made a little while ago, using the Mod leaves stamp set from Cocoa Daisy. There are lots of layers on this one, because I didn't like where I was going at first... but in the end I love the little glimpses of other layers peeking through. :)

Double Feature...

...is the name of the February Cocoa Daisy kit!

There is so much fun going on over at Cocoa Daisy rigth now! CHA was fab, even if I was only able to join in as "flat Anna". =) The team has grown and I adore all the girls and their fabulous creations in the gallery!

Christine continues to put together the most amazing kits. Here is my first layout, using the February main kit + a couple of stickers from the Starring Role add on.  The stamp with the stars... sigh... I love it so much! :)

The flair and the circle behind it are exclusives from Ormolu, so so cute!

Tuva still sleeps like this sometimes, but of course it's not happening as often as before. I took this photo this Saturday... sooo cosy...

The new pie chart stencil comes with the main kit and it's so fun to see all the different ways it's been used by the team. I colored it in using distress inks and then I filled some of it in with a black pen. And again I used the stamp with the stars... This was made using the main kit + the Viewmaster Reel stamp set.

And my third layout... from Alva's first day of school. I wrote down some thoughts about her first months in school, and put the letter in the cute red/white envelope. I used the main kit and some paper from the Feature Presentation add on.

Misting, stamping and adding some glossy...

I've forgotten to post this little tag that I made a while ago. It was created using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (colours Marmalade, Candy Corn and Sun Sisters), the Cocoa Daisy Mod Leaves stamps, my old MM magnetic stamps set and some Glossy Accents. I love the effect of the Glossy Accents on top of the mist!

Stamping challenge...!

I posted a new challenge over at Cocoa Daisy today! We want you to get your stamps out!

We've had lots of fun stamping related inspiration on the Cocoa Daisy blog lately, and the CD stamps are only getting better and better...!

I used the Mod leaves stamp set for my layout. It's a layout about a very happy boy! :)

Distress Inks and stamping...

This is a layout made for the Cocoa Daisy blog, using the September Dandelion stamp and Distress inks. I stamped on watercolour paper and dissolved some of the ink using a brush loaded with water.

This photo is old... probably about 5 years old... Tuva is soon the same age as Alva was when I took this photo. Time is such a strange thing, don't you think?!

Using up those scraps...

Here's another layout using the Cocoa Daisy July kit. I used the label stamp from the July main kit to create petals for a flower. I really loooove that there are fabulous new stamps each month!

Besides the stamps and stamp sets that are included in the kit each month, there are also stamp subscriptions available, where you get three exclusive Cocoa Daisy stamps each month. These are different from the ones included in the main kit and with a subscription you'll make sure that you don't miss out on the stamping fun!

I hope you will all have a lovely weekend! This layout is about the crazy weather we're having this summer and we're expecting lots of rain again, this night and tomorrow morning.

Glass jars + gesso + mist...

I created this little class for the Cocoa Daisy Spring Crop, with ideas and inspiration on how to alter glass jars into table decorations. You can still find the class on the Cocoa Daisy message board.

Here are a couple of my favourite jars... Both of them were first painted with gesso and the first one then coloured with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist...

...while I kept the second one white. The butterfly stamp is one of the exclusive Cocoa Daisy stamps and I love it!

I also used the stamp to heat emboss directly on the glass jar.

I hope you're having a fab weekend! We're having a birthday party for some of Alva's friends today and I hope it'll be fun!

Stamp carving 101

Seriously, how cool is this? I love learning new techniques and I'm really looking forward to taking this online class with Julie Fei-Fan Balzer.
