Cocoa Daisy September Project Art kit

The September Project Art kit from Cocoa Daisy contained Liquitex String Gel, two “fragments” designed by Ronda Palazzari to use as masks, an exclusive Cocoa Daisy stamp “little dots”, a Fude Ball pen, a tube of Dina Wakley acrylic paint “ruby”, a graph card and a piece of sewing pattern.

I really love String Gel! It's so fun and messy! :) You can use it as it is (it's white, but dries clear) or you can colour it with paint. Here I used the red Dina W paint and Liquitex Acrylic Ink in gold.

I also tried making patterns with gel + black paint and then filling some of the spaces up with other colours.

I made some green grass...

I used mist and then rubbed some acrylic paint on top of the gel, to make it stand out.

I created this very simple layout with this three year old photo of baby Tuva! :)

I also created this page in my journal, practicing some writing with the gel + black paint.

A card...

I made this card for Pyssloteket a little while ago. The wood veneers are colored with Dylusions Spray Ink and glued down into the shape of a star, using a die cut as a template. You can see images of the process here.

I also made a couple of cards with this month's kit from Cocoa Daisy. For my first card I used the Go Make Art stamp set together with Distress Inks in two different pinks. There's a piece of watercolour paper included in the main kit and it's perfect for this technique!

My second card was made using the Colorful Life stamp set + silver glitter embossing powder.

Julrea hos Pyssloteket, mm...

Nu är jag julledig....! Det är nästan läskigt hur skönt det känns! Den här mörka hösten har känts tung och vi är verkligen i behov av lite ledigt nu, hela familjen.

Jag tänkte tipsa om att Pyssloteket har rea på alla julsaker nu! Det finns annat i reakategorin också - titta gärna in och shoppa lite, för jag ska nämligen vara med och inventera i butiken snart och ju mer ni handlar, desto mindre att räkna... =)

Christmas cards!



It's not too late... there is still time to put together some simple Christmas cards! :) I used Spellbinder's dies, Distress Paint Brushed Pewter, the super cute wood veneer stars, my sewing machine and some messy thread for this simple card! The supplies can be found at Pyssloteket.

 

For my second card I used Liquitex Ceramic Stucco, Distress Stain and Glimmer Glam for my background, and some more messy thread together with die cut stars and the Brushed Pewter Distress Paint. I also sprinkled some clear UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) over the stars and melted the enamel with my heat gun.

I think the matte Black Soot Distress Paint on top of the Brushed Pewter paint looks really cool on my next card, but I am not sure who would be a suitable recipient for this card. :)

I sprinkled Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Chalk over my background on this card.

 

Distress Paint Metallic...

There's a fun challenge going on over at Pyssloteket until October 27th. The assignment is to create a card or a tag where black, grey and white are the dominating colours. Metallics are also ok and a small amount of contrasting colour too.

I used black gesso and Brushed Pewter Distress Paint on top. The lace was coloured with Glimmer Mist and the birds painted with gesso, stamped and covered with Glimmer Glam. I also covered the flower with Glimmer Glam.

I tried (not very successfully) to capture the glimmering on the birds and the flower... :)

Romantic style... :) Made for Pyssloteket using pink Inkido papers. Also the Kaisercraft butterfly stamp, the flowers, the bling, the doily and the lace are available at Pyssloteket.

How can it be Wednesday already? This week is flying by!

I have a card to share today. I mainly used the Cocoa Daisy January kit. The feather stamp set is soooo fab! 

Halloween för Pyssloteket...

Jag har pysslat ihop en layout med Halloween-tema, för Pyssloteket. Jag blir så full i skratt av de här bilderna på Tuva, från förra året. Det är inte klokt vad hon har växt! :)

Papper från Echo Park, de fina fjädrarna, metall- och plastdekorationer, Glimmer Glam Tide Pool (målat på den utklippta textremsan och den utklippta biten i mitten), Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Teal High Heal (som jag färgat fjädrarna med), spets och lim - allt finns hos Pyssloteket!

Jag har också gjort ett snabbt Halloween-kort med papper från samma serie.

Wedding card...

I've made a couple of these cards this summer... I came up with the design a few years ago and figured I'd repeat it again when creating a couple of wedding cards.

Then I freaked out a little when I remembered that Hambly is going out of business. :( So sad... Luckily, I was able to place an order for some of my favourite designs today. *phew*

Anyway... this is a very simple card. White cardstock, some Hambly, a misted Chipboard heart, some thread and a scalloped oval die cut from a book. And one of my old decorative edge scissors! :)

Cocoa Daisy June layouts

The Cocoa Daisy International reveal was held while I was being away on vacation. Check out the gallery to see what the international part of the design team created using the June kit (and of course what the fab US gals made too!).

The June kit is full of bright and happy colors! Besides the main kit I also got the patterned paper add on Shades and the Embellishment pack.

I loved the embellishment pack and for this card I used one of the gorgeous and colorful flowers together with a couple of the pins and the fun Smash washi tape.

For this simple layout I heat embossed the Cocoa Daisy ampersand stamp with white Zing embossing powder (also available together with other fab mixed media supplies in the Cocoa Daisy boutique!) and wrote my title around it.

The green washi tape comes with the main kit.

LilyBee Designs hos Scrapgalen!

Jag har använt LilyBees fina serie Jingle och gjort både ett kort och en layout för Scrapgalen.

 Jag målade chipboardbokstäverna med Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam i färgen Chandelier.

Jag använde cardstockstickers i form av vimplar och lade på Glossy Accents ovanpå.

Mist och UTEE

Jag visade tidigare i sommar på Cocoa Daisys blog hur jag färgade in en bit tårtpapper med mist och sedan doppade i UTEE.

Så här såg det ut när jag använde min färdiga dekoration på ett kort, tillsmmans med julikitet.

Sur tjej...

Här kommer ytterligare ett kort jag knåpat ihop, med stämpeln "Jill" från The Greeting Farm. Jag tycker att hon är himla söt, om än något ilsk... och jag har ärligt talat ingen aning om vad jag ska göra med kortet. Vem ger man det här till, liksom? =)

Fina Fairy Kira...

Man kan faktiskt inte scrappa precis hela tiden, tro det eller ej... så för att få lite omväxling har jag färglagt lite stämpelmotiv de senaste dagarna. =) Eller övat på att färglägga kanske jag ska säga, för det är inte alltid jag blir nöjd direkt... och dessutom är jag rätt kass på att sen faktiskt använda det jag färglagt... men här kommer i alla fall ett kort! Med ett motiv som jag i och för sig inte färglagt nu, utan för ett bra tag sedan... men i alla fall. :)

Det är fina Fairy Kira från Tickled Pink Stamps och jag gjorde ett vårkort till deras utmaning med vårtema!

Jag har använt fina vårpapper från Pion Design, spets, en tokrosa primablomma och några små gröna, våriga pärlor... :)

I've been practicing coloring stamped images the past few days. It's fun... but I'm not always happy with the result... I'm also pretty bad at actually using the images I'm coloring, but I finally made a card - using an image I colored a while ago - for the spring challenge over at Tickled Pink Challenges. :) I used the lovely Fairy Kira (from Tickled Pink Stamps) and the beautiful spring papers from Pion Design.
