Color Swatch!

The Cocoa Daisy February kit is one of my all time favourites! Stephanie did a fantastic job when designing the exclusive papers and I had so much fun playing with the kit and the add ons.

Here I used gesso and mist to colour my background and then I added some stamping too, using the Colorful Life stamp set. The paper that I cut apart and stitched on is one of Stephanie's papers. I punched holes in some of the paper pieces and tied the ribbon to them. The enamel dots and shapes are from the Paint Chip add on.

I used the Colorful Life stamp set for this next layout too. I also used some things from the Mood Board add on and the cork sticker is from the Paint Chip add on.

Color Swatch...!

The reveal of the Cocoa Daisy February kit takes place on Tuesday, the 28th. This month's kit is called Color Swatch and it's making me oh so happy! I looooove the colours of this kit!

Here is a sneak of what I've made so far...

Some PL glimpses...

I don't know how it happened, but I suddenly fell in love with the "PL-style" of scrapping. I gave it a try and I got hooked... I don't know how long it will last, but I guess I'll go on as long as it's fun! :)

I've used the Cocoa Daisy Day In The Life kits, along with some other stuff... I did get a couple of Project Life mini kits, and I've also used bits and pieces from my stash and from the Cocoa Daisy main kits + add ons.

I thought I'd just show you some glimpses of my pages...

This is one of my favourites so far... about when J was in the US for almost 2 weeks and we used Skype to talk to him. I used blue watercolour and made my own 4x6 card, and I believe that both the "hello" and the plane came from earlier Cocoa Daisy kits.

Here I used a mix of patterned papers and cards from the mini kits. I used some mist to colour the "v.46" card.

Here I did some stamping... using older stamps from Cocoa Daisy. I also added a little washi tape from the Cocoa Daisy Christmas kit...

The card and the stamp are both from Cocoa Daisy. I used watercolours from the Project Art kit for December, to colour the stamped images.

I included the Project Art in the album... :) I'm enjoying working with those kits so much! Here you can see glimpses of a couple of the Cocoa Daisy DITL cards.

I'm keeping it simple and I'm not thinking too much, but trying to have fun! These pages will be a fun addition to my album and even if I don't complete a whole year, or stick to doing weekly spreads, I'll be enjoying the extra bits of our life that I'm documenting with these pages.

Project Art December

The December Project Art kit from Cocoa Daisy contains a fabulous travel set of Koi watercolours and a beautifully sparkling Iridescent Medium! The kit also contains vintage book pages, vintage flash cards, super cute vintage hair nets(!) and washi tape and Studio Calico cork arrows. I had so much fun playing with these supplies!

I played around a lot and for example made this tiny and simple drawing... :)

I painted over dry gel medium, previously applied through a stencil.

I experimented with some doodeling... and here you can see the amazing shimmering of the iridescent medium!

I made a page that I called "a wish list for my house"... about all the projects that I would love to get done.

I also used one of the fantastic vintage hair nets that come in the kit, to create a page about this new year. I had so many ideas for colouring the pattern created by the net! "twentyFOURTEEN" is one of the fab Cocoa Daisy stamps.

I experimented with painting a face...

...and I made a page about love... :) I love the "notes" stamp above and the "love lives here" stamp below!

Have a wonderful day!

Opening presents...

...is fun... and this little girl really loved her Christmas presents this year... :) This layout was made for Pyssloteket and all the supplies can be found there. See the Pyssloteket blog for details.

I've used the POW glitter paper from American Crafts to die cut the stars and wow... the photos really don't do them justice! It's sooo sparkling and glittery and the best part - the glitter doesn't come off! I wish I didn't mind having glitter all over... but it actually does bother me, for some reason a lot more than having paint all over... :)

The "merry christmas" is a rub on from Tim Holtz.

Happy New Year!

Taking a decent photo of all 5 of us isn't all that easy... but I think we did pretty good on this one. :)

2013 came and went... welcome 2014! I wish you all a very happy new year!
