A card...

I made this card for Pyssloteket a little while ago. The wood veneers are colored with Dylusions Spray Ink and glued down into the shape of a star, using a die cut as a template. You can see images of the process here.

Lots of messy paint...

I made the background for this layout when teaching a mixed media layout class at Pyssloteket in February - such a messy and fun class! :) I've used gesso, acrylic paint, mist, Posca pen, stamps, Glimmer Glam and Liquitex Glass Beads gel. Everything is available at Pyssloteket!

A new year...

Well, the year of 2014 isn't brand new anymore, but this photo was taken on the very last day of 2013...

Opening presents...

...is fun... and this little girl really loved her Christmas presents this year... :) This layout was made for Pyssloteket and all the supplies can be found there. See the Pyssloteket blog for details.

I've used the POW glitter paper from American Crafts to die cut the stars and wow... the photos really don't do them justice! It's sooo sparkling and glittery and the best part - the glitter doesn't come off! I wish I didn't mind having glitter all over... but it actually does bother me, for some reason a lot more than having paint all over... :)

The "merry christmas" is a rub on from Tim Holtz.

Julrea hos Pyssloteket, mm...

Nu är jag julledig....! Det är nästan läskigt hur skönt det känns! Den här mörka hösten har känts tung och vi är verkligen i behov av lite ledigt nu, hela familjen.

Jag tänkte tipsa om att Pyssloteket har rea på alla julsaker nu! Det finns annat i reakategorin också - titta gärna in och shoppa lite, för jag ska nämligen vara med och inventera i butiken snart och ju mer ni handlar, desto mindre att räkna... =)

Christmas cards!



It's not too late... there is still time to put together some simple Christmas cards! :) I used Spellbinder's dies, Distress Paint Brushed Pewter, the super cute wood veneer stars, my sewing machine and some messy thread for this simple card! The supplies can be found at Pyssloteket.

 

For my second card I used Liquitex Ceramic Stucco, Distress Stain and Glimmer Glam for my background, and some more messy thread together with die cut stars and the Brushed Pewter Distress Paint. I also sprinkled some clear UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) over the stars and melted the enamel with my heat gun.

I think the matte Black Soot Distress Paint on top of the Brushed Pewter paint looks really cool on my next card, but I am not sure who would be a suitable recipient for this card. :)

I sprinkled Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Chalk over my background on this card.

 

Going messy...

I'm teaching at Pyssloteket in Stockholm on Saturday and there's still one spot available! :) We're creating a layout in this messy style... using paints and mists and stamps... I'm really looking forward to it! :)

A monster...

...came visiting last week! :) Of course I had to scrap him and I made this for Pyssloteket. I used Glimmer Glam, Distress Paint, Glimmer Mist and Dylusions Spray Ink before die cutting the circles. For a complete list of supplies, visit Pyssloteket's blog.

The sea....!

Distress Paint Metallic...

There's a fun challenge going on over at Pyssloteket until October 27th. The assignment is to create a card or a tag where black, grey and white are the dominating colours. Metallics are also ok and a small amount of contrasting colour too.

I used black gesso and Brushed Pewter Distress Paint on top. The lace was coloured with Glimmer Mist and the birds painted with gesso, stamped and covered with Glimmer Glam. I also covered the flower with Glimmer Glam.

I tried (not very successfully) to capture the glimmering on the birds and the flower... :)

I was looking at other summer photos the other day and ouch... it doesn't matter that it was a long and fabulous summer and that it was so much better than I dared to hope for, I still want more! :)

 

Ölands raukar...

We had a wonderful vacation in the middle of August and this is one of the many photos I took when visiting a special place along the coast of the island where we were staying, where the softer species of rocks have eroded, while the harder ones are left, creating sort of a labyrinth of stone formations.

Lot's of messy paint...

I made this art journaling page for Pyssloteket, mostly using acrylic paint but also some pens and a little Glimmer Mist.

I wrote my journaling and then coverd it up by stitching the doilies to my page. It's possible to lift them, to read the journaling underneath. Stamping, writing, painting and sewing...

I mant, you mant...

She has grown so much this summer...! :)

She is talking so much and we really love listening to her. She is exploring her own will and the way it interacts with other people and their intentions.

Very often she tells us what we want to do... "You want to read a book to me" or "you want to go to the sandbox"... Except that she says "mant" instead of "want". Crazy cute, if you ask me.

I used some Dylusions spray in White Linen (together with the Honeycomb stencil by Ronda Palazzari and Crafter's Workshop) and Funky Fuschia and some fab numerical rub ons from Tim Holtz.
