Hello Thursday! And happy Valentine's Day! :)
How is your week? I am looking forward to three days off next week, when the kids have their school break. Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze some scrapping and painting in. :)
I've made this page for Pyssloteket. The feathers and the thickers were coloured with Chalkboard mist and Glimmer mist. I used my sewing machine to attach the feathers to the cardstock and then I glued everything else down.

Tattered Angels Love...
Yay, I finally found the time to write a blog post! :)
I've created this small canvas for Tattered Angels. For the background I used gesso together with a stencil from Crafter's Workshop. I then covered it with the white Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Chalk. When the chalkboard was dry I dripped and splattered Glimmer Mist Party Pink on top.
The hearts were cut from a 12x12 canvas sheet from Canvas Corp. I painted them with some gesso and then covered them with Glimmer Glam Chandelier.
The chipboard wings were painted with gesso and covered with Glimmer Glaze Icicle.

In this second image you can see a glimpse of what the Glimmer Glam does to the canvas hearts... on the top of the hearts... do you see the sparkle? :)
I hope you're having a fun and relaxing weekend!

Painted and misted background...
I've created this layout for Pyssloteket, using lots of yummy Chalkboard Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels.
I started out by adding a bunch of decos to my background and then painted the background with acrylic paint, but I wasn't happy with the result until I added the mist on top of the paint. I also splattered some Glimmer Glam on top of the mist.
The decos, lace, doilies, ribbon, the feather... and of course gesso, paint and mist and glam... it's all availabe at Pyssloteket! :)

Daycare, a flat Anna, fabric and mist...
Helloooo! It's Friday! It's been a crazy week. The big kids have gone back to school and my baby girl has started going to daycare! She spent three days there together with her Dad and today he left her at 9 am and picked her up at 2 pm. On her own for the first time. She did so well! I'm sort of expecting a setback next week, but I guess we can't know what will happen. Perhaps it'll all be good. It's both amazing and fantastic to realize what she is capable of and a bit sad, that she is growing up so quickly...
I am so excited for everyone attending CHA-W this year! A whole bunch of the Cocoa Daisy girls are meeting up and I am a bit sad that I'm not joining them, but very happy to be there in a flat version. =) You can follow the adventures of the flat CD designers by following @CocoaDaisyKits on Instagram! :)
This is a layout I've created for Tattered Angels. I covered my entire background with fabric, applied some gesso and then misted with Glimmer Mists Blarney and Key Lime Pie, and Chaklboard Mists Teal High Heal and Seven Seas. I've also used Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze and the heart was made out of cardstock, covered with cheese cloth.

Writing in gesso + Nov CD sneaks
Hi!
I can't believe how fast the days and weeks are going by!
I have created another layout, for the Cocoa Daisy blog, using the Cocoa Daisy October kit and a fun background technique with mist and gesso. I used Chalkboard Glimmer mist on top of the dried gesso and I also splattered some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam over my layout - love the Glam! :)
Did you see the sneaks of the Cocoa Daisy November kit, Navy Pier? I really love the tags Christine are creating each month! Check them out here! I totally love the look of the stamps..!
Also, don't miss the fun Lotsa Layers challenge by MandyKay!!!

Saying thank you with mist...
I created this special "thank you gift" for Tattered Angels this month. I used a canvas circle from Canvas Corp and one of the many sticks that Alva has collected and brought home to her collection. :) Together with some jute string (also from Canvas Corp), Prima flowers, gesso and lots of yummy Glimmer Mist, Chalkboard Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Glam, I put this hanging decoration together.
I also added some stamping inbetween the layers of gesso and mist, using stamps from Cocoa Daisy.

The letter stickers were misted with Chalkboard mist and then painted with Glimmer Glaze. The flowers were misted, partially painted with Glam, painted with some gesso, misted again and finally I added some more Glimmer Glam.
I'm really happy with how the stick turned out - I painted it with gesso and then with Glimmer Glam. :)

Walking...
The colour theory continues on the Tattered Angels Inspiration blog! I used complementary colours for my first September layout and here I created another one with a green background, but with a triadic colour scheme and the accent colours orange and purple.
I used gesso, acrylic paint, Glimmer Mists Blarney and Olive Vine, Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Sprout, Glimmer Mists Deep Plum and Candy Corn, Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Grape Ape, Glimmer Glam Private Meadow, Glimmer Glaze Wicked.
The stamp to the left is a Cocoa Daisy stamp.
"Full fart" is Swedish and means "full speed"... =)

And even more misting...
The September theme on the Tattered Angels Inspiration blog is colour mixing and colour theory. I created a simple layout using the complimentary colours green and red.
The background was misted with Glimmer Mist Blarney. I used Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Sprout for the canvas fringe from Canvas Corp and Blarney for the rose ribbon. The thickers were painted with Glimmer Glaze and I splattered some Glam over the background. I also used Glam to paint the flowers.

Glimmering texture...
It's been a bit quiet here on the blog... Going back to work last Wednesday has been a huge change. It doesn't matter that I had plenty of time to mentally prepare. It's still so many new routines and so many adjustments to be made. I'll get the hang of it, I just need some time. :)
Here are another couple of projects that I made for Tattered Angels in August, using texture paste. For both the layout and the canvas I used one of the Tattered Angel screens together with texture paste to create my background.
When creating the layout I then covered my page with gesso and misted on top of the dry gesso using Simply Sheer Light Blue and Pink, Chalkboard Glimmer Mist London Fog, and Glimmer Mists Silver Sugar and Graphite. I also splattered some Glimmer Glaze Pewter over the background and painted the chipboard numbers with Glimmer Glam Smooches.
This layout is about me right now, and how I wish I was better at focusing at the positive side of things. Actually, "right now" was more like 3-4 weeks ago and I do feel a bit more positive at the moment. I guess I'd better do my best to hang on to that feeling... :)
I used the same screen when creating this 6x6 canvas. I used a Chunky Burlap Canvas from Canvas Corp and coloured the background with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Valencia and Glimmer Mist Sun Sisters.
The star was misted with Key Lime Pie and the wooden cameras were painted with Glimmer Glam Organic Garden.
I hope you're all having a good week! Tomorrow is Friday... yay...!

Simply Sheer, texture paste and album cover...
We are creating with Texture Paste over at the Tattered Angels inspiration blog this month. This is the second canvas I created for the CHA booth, with the same type of butterflies that I had on my other canvas.
Here I used mainly the non-glittery mists from Tattered Angels - Plain Jane Simply Sheer. As much as I love glimmer, I love this look too! I used the colours Taupe, Burlap and Pink (for the flowers). The butterflies were both misted and then coloured with Glimmer Glaze - Icicle and Cowboy. The chipboard pieces were also painted with Glimmer Glaze Icicle.
I used a 6x6 chunky stretched natural canvas and some cord/jute rope from Canvas Corp.
I have also put together a journal, and I used texture paste to create my cover. I misted the cover with Chalkboard Mist Black Orchid and Glimmer Mist Aquamarine. To finish off, I splattered some Glimmer Glam Chandelier on top. The rings were painted with Glimmer Glaze Chianti.

Can you resist the Glimmer Mist...?
I have a couple of projects to share today, using resist techniques and Tattered Angels products. For these Art Journal pages I stamped using a Versamark pad onto old book pages, and then heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I used Glimmer Mist Cupid for the backgrounds and then Glimmer Mists Dragonfly, Graphite and Blarney, Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Seven Seas and Glimmer Glaze Blue Oasis.
The stamps I used are from Vilda Stamps.
The canvas star is from Canvas Corp. They have several different mini canvas shapes, for example stars, circles and hearts. I also used a piece from their Decorative Wall Hardware.
I've also created this layout, using a Pink Paislee resist paper. It's such an easy way to create a really cool resist effect. I used the Glimmer Mists Marigold, Sunflower, Olive Vine and Blarney. I also used the Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Firefly.
The canvas piece was cut from a 12x12 canvas sheet from Canvas Corp.

Picnic time...
The June theme on the Tattered Angels blog is stencils. Check out all the fabulous ideas and gorgeous projects presented by the design team! Stencils are everywhere right now, and they're so much fun to use.
When creating my first layout for June, I used the same stencil (from The Crafter's Workshop) twice - first together with some mist and then to apply some gesso, over which I added more misting once it was dry. This gave my background a colorful, layered look.
I used Glimmer Mist Apple, Golden Terracotta and Key Lime Pie, and Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Sprout, Firefly and Peacock. Also the flowers, the buttons and the doily were misted.
