Forecast... the April Cocoa Daisy kit....!

The April Cocoa Daisy kit is called Forecast. The weather is something we all talk about, isn't it? :) The subscribers are able to get the add ons first, and then the kit + add ons goes up for sale for everyone on April 1st.

I am so very excited by the fact that Cocoa Daisy teamed up with Simple Stories and this kit contains two exclusive papers featuring a design collaboration between Stephanie Wheeler and the Simple Stories designers!

Also take look at the fabulous "Day in the Life" add on! It's perfect for those of you who are doing Project Life... but I have to say that it's a great kit for everyone else too!

These are the layouts I've created so far, using the main kit + Bumbersoot and Mackintosh add ons. Tuva is such a clown sometimes... our very own and very cute clown. :)

I used gesso, mist and acrylic paint here.

Linus loves sewing at school and it was so fun to get to see him "in action" during the open house at school earlier this year. I covered the Jillibean soup frame with Zing silver glitter embossing powder and I have to say that I love the result.

The cute wooden frame was coloured with mist and I also splattered mist over the background and added some green Zing embossing powder when the mist was partially dry.

The photo on my third layout is from my brother's wedding last June. I love this photo of my little family and at least Tuva is aaaalmost in the photo too... she was sleeping in the pram that J is holding on to. :)

The yellow piece with the butterfly is from one of the exclusive CD/SS papers and I stitched a smaller butterfly, cut from one of the patterned papers, on top.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Easter weekend!

Colours in my journal...

Still sooo inspired by the Mindy Lacefield lesson in Lifebook 2013, I created another spread in my Dylusions journal. I had to paint another bear. :)

I used several different stamps from Cocoa Daisy, acrylic paint, pen, stickles, archival ink, acrylic ink, coloured pencils, mist, stencils, washi tape...

Lifebook and Mindy Lacefield

This week's lesson on Lifebook was held by Mindy Lacefield. I LOVE her work so much and I really enjoyed this lesson. All of the stamps I used are from Cocoa Daisy. This was the first page I made in my Dylusions journal and so far I really love it. If you are in Sweden you can for example find it at Pyssloteket.

Have a lovely weekend!

A sketch challenge - en skissutmaning

There's a new sketch up over at Sketchbook365. Go check it out and see the beautiful layouts made by the team. Then make sure that you play along! :) The deadline is April 19th. The sketch is based on a layout by Sian Fair and the prize is a bunch of lovely products from Glitz designs, kindly donated by A Sprinkle of Imagination.

Here's my layout, with photos of Tuva from February last year. Oh boy, time just goes by so fast!

Boat trip...

My little brother got married last summer, on an island in the Stockholm archipelago. I took this photo of Alva on the boat trip out to the island. It was an exciting day! :)

Almost all the supplies used are from Pyssloteket. There's a detailed list of the supplies in the inspirational blog.

in my journal...

Drawing, painting, stamping... I love the Cocoa Daisy stars so much... :) Sometimes I am thinking that I should be less afraid of adding more paint and layers to the pages in my journal. Other times I am thinking that it's fine... it's ok... I am allowed to sometimes leave the pages simple too.

Sketchbook - Cocoa Daisy March kit

Finally, here are my layouts with the Cocoa Daisy March kit, Sketchbook. I know I'm repeating myself every month... but I love this kit so much! It's soft, but there are still brigth and fun details and it's also playful and classic at the same time. I couldn't resist the add ons, but got all of them and they are goood! :)

This layout is about how Tuva enjoys looking in my albums. She keeps pointing at Linus and Alva in the photos, telling us what she is seeing. It's so much fun!

When we went to Stockholm during the school break recently, Alva found the swan princess, as we were walking through the town... :) I used the star stamp from February and embossed with silver glittery Zing powder.

And this was another photo from our walk through Stockholm... I used some lovely vellum and a gorgeous transparency, both from the patterned paper add on.

Stomach bugs and happy news....!

This blog has been quiet because this house has been busy surviving an attack from the evil stomach bugs! Phew... I think we made it, but it was a close call... ;) I haven't been working for 7 days (+3 days of vacation before that) because I've been taking care of sick kids and then I got sick myself. It feels like we've been living in an alternative universe and I really hope we'll be able to return to the real world very soon!

To talk about something a lot more fun...! I am so happy to be joining the design team over at Pyssloteket! Yaaay!

They have an inspirational blog - with so much fabulousness - and here is their news blog with news from the store and lots of useful tips and tricks.

Here's a layout I made about Tuva and her favourite song, using supplies from the store.
