Firefly... scrapping again...!

It's SUMMER...!!!! Lazy days, crazy days... :) It felt so good to have some time to scrap again after a little break. The July kit from Cocoa Daisy is called Firefly and it's jam-packed with happy colours that are perfect for summer layouts.

When Tuva had her birthday party, I took photos of all the kids and printed them so that they could scrap with a photo of them selves. This was the photo I took of Tuva - my happy and fabulous birthday girl.

The next one is from her actual birthday - five years old!

I also got some pocket page scrapping done, using the very pretty July DITL kit. Love the cards!

...and the right page...

Sunshine in Karlstad is the title of my next layout. I've been travelling to the University three times each semester for two years, and this was the LAST time...! It's been a lot of fun but also a lot of work and it feels so good to be done!

This is about how I want to get back to running... it's time to start moving again...!

...and finally... this patterned paper just had to be cut like this!

The kit is on sale for subscribers and becomes available for the general public tomorrow, on July 1.

A whole lot of scrapping...

The August kit from Cocoa Daisy is called Hemingway and it's a fab mix of things related to travelling, adventures and reading books.

We've mostly stayed at home or made shorter excursions this summer, but we did a tiny bit of travelling last week and this photo was taken on one of our little trips - to a small island on the eastern coast of Sweden. I was inspired by the pattern on Tuva's dress and cut squares out of a few of the patterned papers from the main kit. I added some gesso to the papers and to the background and also some stitching and fun details.

I also used the super cute Little birds stamp set - love them so much! - and the Elle's studio wood veneers.

The photo on the layout below was taken at the same trip and I created the background using gesso, a stencil + mist in green and blue to match the papers. I used the main kit + the Crate paper cork stickers and the enamel dots from Simple Stories.

We travelled by boat twice during our vacation and these photos are from those two short rides. The first trip took us from Sweden to Denmark and the second ride was to get to the island on the east coast. Both rides felt like an adventure for sure. :)

I used parts of a page protector to create the pockets for the sequins and I mostly used the DITL kit for this layout + the cork stickers and wood veneers mentioned above.

I also used the DITL kit to create this spread for week 29. I don't think I'll ever be creating pocket pages for every week of the year, but I do love the little glimpses of our everyday life that I manage to document like this!

I used the Little birds stamp set as well as the bird stamps from the September Planner kit and painted them with watercolours.

The Hemingway kits are on sale for subscribers now and they go on sale for the general public on Aug 1st!

Bistro - the July kit from Cocoa Daisy

The July kit from Cocoa Daisy is called Bistro and it's a happy and cheerful kit!

The gorgeous flower paper that I used for this first layout is from the Corner cafe patterned paper add on. I created the background using gesso and a stencil and then some mist and glimmer glaze.

This next layout was created using the DITL kit. Again, I used some gesso and mist for the background.

I enjoyed picking some of the more subtle patterns and colours from this colourful kit, for my third layout.

It's been a loooong time since I created any pocket pages and I really enjoyed the process when using the DITL kit along with the July printables, to create this spread. I mostly kept the design very simple and I love the DITL cards.

Journal Entry

The Cocoa Daisy February kit - Journal Entry - goes on sale to the general public on Feb 1st! It's such a pretty kit, with some bold black additions that make the wonderful colours pop!

For my first layout I used the main kit, the Jot it down and the Dear diary add ons.

I also created a DITL spread, using almost exclusively the DITL kit. I added white cardstock and some green letter stickers from the main kit.

I used watercolours to create my title card.

I adore the exclusive patterned papers this month! I used the dots a lot and I also created a couple of cards of my own, using the flower paper and some gesso.

modern+vintage

The Cocoa Daisy August kit is on sale now! It's an awesome kit, called Modern+Vintage - a perfect name! I love the bright colours combined with classic patterns and lots of yummy and fun embellishments!

For the first of my layouts I used the Thrift shop add on, the patterned paper add on Flea market, the Day in the Life add on Downtown boutique and also the DITL August kit.

The fern stamp comes with the main kit stamp set - love it!

My second layout was made using the main kit, the Thrift shop add on and the DITL-kit and the Panda Eight printables (the printables are free for all subscribers to the main or the DITL-kits).

The tiny hearts is one of the stamps in the DITL-kit.

I also used the DITL-kit only (except for the number 28 made using stickers from the main kit) to create a spread about my week 28. This was so much fun and I really hope I'll get more DITL-pages done!

Left...

and right...

Now, jump over to the Cocoa Daisy store! :)

Some PL glimpses...

I don't know how it happened, but I suddenly fell in love with the "PL-style" of scrapping. I gave it a try and I got hooked... I don't know how long it will last, but I guess I'll go on as long as it's fun! :)

I've used the Cocoa Daisy Day In The Life kits, along with some other stuff... I did get a couple of Project Life mini kits, and I've also used bits and pieces from my stash and from the Cocoa Daisy main kits + add ons.

I thought I'd just show you some glimpses of my pages...

This is one of my favourites so far... about when J was in the US for almost 2 weeks and we used Skype to talk to him. I used blue watercolour and made my own 4x6 card, and I believe that both the "hello" and the plane came from earlier Cocoa Daisy kits.

Here I used a mix of patterned papers and cards from the mini kits. I used some mist to colour the "v.46" card.

Here I did some stamping... using older stamps from Cocoa Daisy. I also added a little washi tape from the Cocoa Daisy Christmas kit...

The card and the stamp are both from Cocoa Daisy. I used watercolours from the Project Art kit for December, to colour the stamped images.

I included the Project Art in the album... :) I'm enjoying working with those kits so much! Here you can see glimpses of a couple of the Cocoa Daisy DITL cards.

I'm keeping it simple and I'm not thinking too much, but trying to have fun! These pages will be a fun addition to my album and even if I don't complete a whole year, or stick to doing weekly spreads, I'll be enjoying the extra bits of our life that I'm documenting with these pages.
