I heart drawing

I'm taking the I heart drawing class with the fabulous Jane Davenport. I just couldn't resist it even though I pretended for quite some time that I wasn't going to sign up. The reason was simple - I really don't have enough time... but I wasn't able to fool myself. ;)  Jane is so awesome and of course I knew it would be a blast....!

I'm not going to show you everything I'm drawing... but for example I've created this mood board... just playing and having fun! The drawing was made by tracing an image from a magazine.

This wasn't a part of the class, but I'm still practicing some of the principles that we are learning. I made this last night, sitting on the floor and trying to entertain Tuva at the same time. I know being able to focus a bit more than that would be good... but a little time to draw is better than no drawing at all... :)

I didn't know that the colored pencils would work this fine on top of the acrylic paint (Jenni Bowlin dabber) but they did! :)

The Cocoa Daisy December kit goes on sale on 1st December. It's gorgeous... so so gorgeous!

I covered the letter stickers with Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy.

The kids are painting some cute Christmas penguins. :)

Linus keeps asking when we will get snow (nothing at all, so far) and he also says that he's so tired of "this same old asphalt"...)

Men nu skrattar hon massor...

Jag har gjort en layout för Scrapgalen, med gesso, en stencil/schablon från Crafter's Workshop, Glimmer Glam i färgen Espresso Bean, droppar av vit Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, ett supersnyggt brunvitt papper från Three Bugs in a Rug... mm... och så ett foto på Tuva då, från tiden innan alla leenden... :) Jag kan inte fatta att hon var så där liten! Och hur kan hon redan vara så här stor? Och varför glömmer man så snabbt?

Allt material utom bling och thickers, kommer från Scrapgalen och materiallista finns i Scrapgalens blogg.

Thank you sooooo very much for all your sweet comments about the Tattered Angels adventure! It's going to be so much fun and I still can't believe my name is on that list! :)

I've been working on a couple of projects for the Scrap365 magazine this week, and I'm sorry I can't show you anything... :)  I also got my looovely Cocoa Daisy December box... yum! I'll post some sneaks later.

Today I took some time to just play in one of my journals. It's been a while and it felt so good. I played around a little with paint... The journaling isn't very interesting, but for some reason it still felt too private. I hope you don't mind the blurring too much. There's also text under the painting, but it's unreadable by now. =)

I also played around a little on another page. I've used acrylic paint and prismacolor pencils. It's obviously not finished and I have lots of unfinished pages like this, where I'm experimenting and practicing. I hope to arrive at "learning how to finish pages" too one day. ;)
