From my art journal...

A couple of pages from my journal... They are not at all related, theme wise. I created the orange background while just trying out some supplies and techniques... and while I was later creating the blue page - with a very special feeling in mind, that I wanted to get down on my page - I used the stencil on the left side too, just because I had it out. I then I added the journaling about the Harry Potter birthday party to the left page several days later. Thus, the blue page was made all at once, beause I had something I wanted to say, while the orange page was made in several stages and I had no idea for the journaling when I started it.

I used one of the stamps from the Cocoa Daisy April kit on the right page - the leaves/branch to the right. I love it!

The She Art Class...

I took Christy Tomlinson's She Art class during the event last weekend. I did take the first She Art class online, but the "live workshop" was still so much fun! I loved listening to Christy telling her story and it was so inspiring working alongside her and the others in the class.

My third Tattered Angels-project for April...

This layout was my last project for Tattered Angels in April. It's about time I'm posting it, now when we're far into May already! Where does time go? Tuva will be ONE in 7 days (that's crazy!), then we have Hugo's day on the 19th and Alva turns 6 on May 24th. May is a month full of emotions (and activities).

I used a stencil from Crafter's Workshop together with some gesso to create the pattern and then I painted my entire background with Glimmer Glam Espresso Bean. I used Glimmer Mist Olive Vine on the Doily, Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Banana Pudding on the lace and Glimmer Glaze Orange Crush on the wooden bird.

A fabulous weekend at the scrapbooking event...!

I had such a good time at the event this weekend...! I feel so inspired after meeting so many lovely people, attending workshops with the wonderful Nat and also with Christy Tomlinson. Both workshops were very inspiring, quite messy and lots of fun!

As always I wish I had taken more photos... :) But here I'm sharing a few of those that I did take.

The three teachers at the event - Ingvild, Nat and Christy.

Christy, in class...

Me and Nat... It was sooo lovely to finally meet her! Her workshop was so much fun and she is an awesome, funny, wonderful person!

Nat in action, during one of her workshops...

Ulrika, in Christy's class...

Sanna.... it was so nice to meet her IRL for the first time...!

My canvas in the middle of the She Art class...

Helene, during the She Art workshop...

Ulrika and Cilla... :)

Since coming home I've been too busy to scrap... but this evening I am really hoping to find some time to play!

Crop, crop, crop... the crop is not over yet...

Nope, not over...!!! You are still able to play along! :)

This layout was created for Alissa's Sprinklers challenge. I used some gesso and lots of Glimmer Mist...! The "flower" was made out of cheese cloth (and mist). :)

I love the Crafter's Workshop Stencil - Blazonry, designed by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer.

And this layout was made for my own Recipe challenge...! Go check it out! :)

Colourful tags with Tattered Angels...

I've created a couple of colourful tags, using lots of Tattered Angels goodies. I started out by collaging some old book pages to my tags. I then added gesso and created some texture, before painting with acrylic paint. I then stamped the butterflies using stamps from Purple Onion Designs and covered the tags with Glimmer Glam Organic Garden. I added more pattern on top of the dry glam, using gesso and a home made stencil. When the gesso was dry I misted the tags with Glimmer Mist Key Lime Pie and Glimmer Mist Lemon Zest.

The flowers were coloured with mist and I painted the buttons with Glimmer Glam Chandelier.

I also coloured the ribbons with mist... love how they turned out!

More from the Cocoa Daisy Spring Crop...

Here are another couple of layouts that I created for the Cocoa Daisy Spring Crop, using the May kit + add ons. There is still time to play along, if you wish... Deadline is Sun May 6th, 8 pm EST.

I made this for Denise's Garden City challenge. Such an awesome and very inspiring challenge...! I mostly used the May Embellisment Pack and the Watercolor Path add on.

And I made this for Nat's Adopt an Ancestor Challenge... This was something sooo different and sooo fun! It's the first time that I've created a layout where I made the story up. This photo belonged to my Grandmother and I find it quite fascinating, but I know nothing at all about it. :)
