Gathering - the November Cocoa Daisy kit

The November kit from Cocoa Daisy is called Gathering. Since I'm studying and working a bit too much right now, it's not as easy to find time to scrap as before. But opening a new Cocoa Daisy box and digging into a new kit is pure joy! Making time for scrapbooking is so important to me!

Here I combined some pretty paper circles with gesso and splatters of mist. Writing around the edges of elements - here circles - is a favourite of mine when it comes to journaling.

Again, some gesso and mist and a photo of my girls from this past summer. I love the contrast that the black thickers from the "build your own add ons" provides.

I wanted to take a pretty autumn photo of my girls and they ended up kind of grumpy, and refusing to stand next to each other... I love them so much - grumpy or not!

I also created two cards using the super cute cat stamps from the Planner kit.

Meow!

Daydreaming...

The September Cocoa Daisy kit is called Daydream!

I love this pretty kit and I am so glad that I also got the DITL kit, because I believe it's one of my favourites so far. I used the DITL cards and embellisments on two layouts and one pocket page spread.

Look at this "be amazing" card for example! Perfect for scrapping about my amazing Tuva... I don't know how many turns she took down that slide, truly enjoying herself. :)

Also this was created using the DITL kit + some gesso, acrylic paint and mist. The stamping in the backgorund was made using the set included in the DITL kit.

The background paper I used on my next layout is included in the patterned paper add on. First day of school!

And here's the DITL spread... keeping it simple because the cards are so pretty in themselves.

On my final layout I used the main kit, the September printables and the cloud stamp from the DITL kit. I also used the OA roller stamp included in the main kit for my background, together with some gesso.

The kit is already on sale for subscribers and the general public will be able to place orders on Sept 1st. Check it all out at the Cocoa Daisy site

August Sketch Challenge

The Cocoa Daisy August Sketch Challenge is up!

Here is my take on the fun sketch, using the August 'Hemingway' kit. The kids were climbing and having fun earlier this summer, when visiting Höganäs.

A whole lot of scrapping...

The August kit from Cocoa Daisy is called Hemingway and it's a fab mix of things related to travelling, adventures and reading books.

We've mostly stayed at home or made shorter excursions this summer, but we did a tiny bit of travelling last week and this photo was taken on one of our little trips - to a small island on the eastern coast of Sweden. I was inspired by the pattern on Tuva's dress and cut squares out of a few of the patterned papers from the main kit. I added some gesso to the papers and to the background and also some stitching and fun details.

I also used the super cute Little birds stamp set - love them so much! - and the Elle's studio wood veneers.

The photo on the layout below was taken at the same trip and I created the background using gesso, a stencil + mist in green and blue to match the papers. I used the main kit + the Crate paper cork stickers and the enamel dots from Simple Stories.

We travelled by boat twice during our vacation and these photos are from those two short rides. The first trip took us from Sweden to Denmark and the second ride was to get to the island on the east coast. Both rides felt like an adventure for sure. :)

I used parts of a page protector to create the pockets for the sequins and I mostly used the DITL kit for this layout + the cork stickers and wood veneers mentioned above.

I also used the DITL kit to create this spread for week 29. I don't think I'll ever be creating pocket pages for every week of the year, but I do love the little glimpses of our everyday life that I manage to document like this!

I used the Little birds stamp set as well as the bird stamps from the September Planner kit and painted them with watercolours.

The Hemingway kits are on sale for subscribers now and they go on sale for the general public on Aug 1st!

Hemingway

The August kit from Cocoa Daisy is called Hemingway and the full reveal takes place tonight! I've really been enjoying this kit and here are a few tiny sneaks from what I've created.

Using the DITL kit for a 12x12 layout.

There are some super cute bird stamps available this month...

I used some darker colours too... love the many options...

I also created a fourth layout and a PL spread!

There's also a challenge up on the Cocoa Daisy blog, and we're challenging you to scrap about beverages. :) You don't have to use a Cocoa Daisy kit to play along but can use any supplies that you like, and you have until Aug 4th to upload your layout. All the info can be find in this blog post.

My layout is about yummy mojitos and I used the July kit.

Bistro - the July kit from Cocoa Daisy

The July kit from Cocoa Daisy is called Bistro and it's a happy and cheerful kit!

The gorgeous flower paper that I used for this first layout is from the Corner cafe patterned paper add on. I created the background using gesso and a stencil and then some mist and glimmer glaze.

This next layout was created using the DITL kit. Again, I used some gesso and mist for the background.

I enjoyed picking some of the more subtle patterns and colours from this colourful kit, for my third layout.

It's been a loooong time since I created any pocket pages and I really enjoyed the process when using the DITL kit along with the July printables, to create this spread. I mostly kept the design very simple and I love the DITL cards.

The June kit from Cocoa Daisy...

..is called Let's go! It's travelled-themed, but still totally useful for non-travel layout too! Non of my layouts are about travelling. :) At least not about the vacation-type of travelling.

This first one is about what an incredible year this has been! I've managed to complete a whole year of studying and I've come really far on my journey towards becoming a teacher. I tore strips of patterned paper and attached them with gel medium. I used some gesso on top of them and then added more strips, this time attaching them using the sewing machine.

And this is about my twelve years of travelling along with this not-so-little-anymore boy! Twelve years?! How did that happen? I used some gesso and mist in yellow and orange, for the background. I loved the text stamps in the main kit!

All three kids have their birthdays in April and May and Tuva came home one day and said she wanted diamonds for her birthday. Her friend had gotten diamonds and Tuva knew that her dad had bought them from the diamond store. :)

The look upon her face when she opened the pretty box her grandmother gave her, and found out that it was full of "diamonds" was just priceless. Such a happy little girl!

Art Journaling with Project Art...

It's time for some catching up! :) Here are the pages I made using the October 2014 Project Art kit from Cocoa Daisy. More info and images can be found in the blog post here.

These pages were made using the November Project Art kit...

...and for these I used the December Project Art kit...

It's been a long time...

...and no blogging since early March...?!?

I constantly seem to have at least twice as much as I am able to fit into my days on my to-do-list and I guess blogging has been pushed down the list for a while. I can't believe May is soon here! May will be a very busy month too. Lots of assignments for the Uni and both my girls have their birthdays in May. There always seem to be lots going on at the end of the school year too. Phew... :) Trying to smile and repeat to myself that things will be ok...

I have been working with the April Project Art kit from Cocoa Daisy and exploring some zentangle inspired art journaling. The kit contains a workbook with lots of inspiration, and all the pens you need to experiment with drawing your own patterns. To colour them you can then use the Twinkling H2Os that come with the kit - beautifully shimmering watercolours.

It's tricky to see the shimmering in this photo, but I promise you that it's there... :)

I used the fab dotted circle stamp from the April main kit stamp set, as a starting point for my second page.

And here is just another example of a pattern from the book...

While I'm here... here are my March Project Art pages too. :) I was playing with Dylusions ink spray and ink spray pad.

Mod means "courage".

I loved to use the pad for stamping!

I can also give you a sneak of the May kit - Sage and Mint!

It looks so very pretty, doesn't it! Here's a sneak of the add ons.

Yay - I did it! I actually wrote a blog post! :) Have a fab day everyone!
