Pemberley...!

I love opening a new Cocoa Daisy box... and the January kit - Pemberley - is one of my favourites so far. No doubt! The kit goes on sale on January 1st.

For this layout I used lots of gesso and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to create my background. I used the patterned paper add on Netherfield Park, and also some bits and pieces from both the the Mr Darcy add on and the Elizabeth add on.

My second layout is quite different from the first. I love that the kit is so versatile and works so well with different scrapping styles. I used the main kit, the Mr Darcy add on and the Elizabeth add on for this layout.

For my third layout I scrapped two photos from New Year's Eve - 2010 and 2011. It's so fun to compare and see how the kids have grown (even if I realized that Linus has the same shirt in the two photos!)  and of course, the addition of Tuva to our family!!!

I used the main kit and the Elizabeth add on for this one.

I loove the date stamp that I used on the photos. It comes with the main kit.

Tomorrow is reveal day at Cocoa Daisy and the new year is starting out in a fabulous way with Pemberley...! Emily said this seems like an "Anna kit" and I totally agree... I love it sooo much! :)

And the house is empty...

We've had a full house for a few days and it's been wonderful but very intense. We've been eating a lot, playing games, laughing, chasing the small kids, eating again, opening presents, playing in the snow and then I think we also had some more food... :) Now when all the guests have left, I believe all five of us enjoy having some quiet time to ourselves. I have some scrapping on my schedule and I am very much looking forward to finally digging into the January Cocoa Daisy kit!

Have you been checking out the Creative Christmas Calendar over at the Paperliitin blog? Riikka invited a whole bunch of fabulous scrappers to contribute and I was so happy and honored to be asked to join in.

I created this layout using lots of Tattered Angels Glimmer mist and you can check out Riikka's blog for some step-by-step photos and some info about how I created my layout.

God Jul - Merry Christmas

We've been crazy busy the last few days, getting everything in order for Christmas. Next year I'll be all organized in November...! ;)

I think we're in control of the situation now, luckily... and I'm looking forward to relaxing and having some nice family time!

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Green and blue...

...are two of my favourite colours... :) I created an Art Journaling page for Pyssloteket, using gesso, pencil, acrylic paint, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam and Glimmer Glaze, a stencil from Prima and some old chipboard letters... More info on the supplies can be found in the blog post for Pyssloteket.

I used a 12x12 patterened paper as a base and it was fun working big! I think art journaling in 12x12 will be a fab complement to my bound journals.

Another fabric one...

Stomach bugs shouldn't be allowed... just sayin'... :( I'm desperately hoping to be able to go to work tomorrow. I'm not handling the stressful combination of deadlines at work, Christmas getting closer very quickly and a sick family, very well... Please cross your fingers that everyone recovers and stays healthy and that it happens soon!

Here's another of the fabric layouts I made for Scrap365 magazine a while ago.

Fabric layout...

Earlier this year I wrote an article for Scrap365 magazine about using fabric on layouts. It was published in the July issue and this is one of the layouts I created for the article.

Painted background...

I created this layout for Tattered Angels, using one of my favourite techniques. I made the background using gesso, a stencil from Crafter's Workshop, acrylic paint and Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam. I covered the entire background with Glam and I LOVE the way it glitters and sparkles.

I used Glimmer Mist on the threads (Cupid), on the thickers (Sun Sisters) and on the flower (Aquamarine) and I painted the sun sticker with Glimmer Glaze.

I misted the rose ribbon with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist Polka Dot Pink.

Lego builder...

I created this layout for Pyssloteket, using papers from Jenni Bowlin, a stencil from Crafter's Workshop, lots of gesso and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Check out the Inspiration blog for more info on the supplies.

I painted the letters with Glimmer Glaze...

Big heart and small heart...

I created a couple of hearts for Tattered Angels this month. I got a set of heart shaped cookie cutters and decided to alter them. I wrapped fabric strips around one of them and painted the other one with gesso and Glimmer Glam.

This was the largest heart and I used one of the smaller ones to trace a heart onto a piece of cardboard to hang in the middle. I attached the heart in the middle using thin sewing thread. The fabric wrapped heart was misted using Glimmer Mists Silver Sugar, Electric Blue, Iridescent Gold and Chalkboard Mist Chalk and the cardboard heart was painted with gesso and Glimmer Glam Caspian Sea and Calm Before The Storm.

I also misted the flowers, the flower ribbon and the lace for the hanging. The letter stickers (god jul means "merry christmas" by the way :) were painted with Glimmer Glam Icicle. Check out the Tattered Angels blog for more info and also some photos I took along the way.

I added a flower to the center of the smaller heart and used cord from Canvas Corp for the hanging. The Glimmer Glam I used is called Smooches.

Have a wonderful day...!!!

Another one for Cocoa Daisy...

...using the December kit.

For this layout I used the main kit + the "Nice to meet you" add on. This layout is so, so simple... but I really love it. I love this photo so much. The title says "The best hugs in the world" and I love that I managed to capture one of those fabulous hugs Tuva is giving us these days. :)

Hello my name is...

The Cocoa Daisy kit went live for subscribers yesterday and it will be available for everyone else on Dec 1st. I really, really love this kit... and the fact that you can go bright and bold, or a lot softer if you prefer... the kit works both ways.

I went for the bright and bold... :)

I really have a problem with taking photos of red things. I guess it has something to do with white balance...? Anyway, this background is a lot less organge and a lot more red, IRL. But the other colours are looking a lot more right. :)

Oh what a cute boy!

I stepped in a deep puddle of water this afternoon. It's been raining all day and the temperature is just above freezing. It was so dark in the parking lot when I came from the train that I didn't see the water and suddenly I had my feet covered in the ice cold water. Ugh... I need to remember to park my car in a different spot tomorrow because the raining is supposed to continue! We are supposed to get crazy amounts of rain tomorrow and I guess this it the time to be happy we have no basement.

On to the scrappy stuff... :) I created this layout for the Cocoa Daisy blog, using the November Cocoa Daisy kit.

The title says “Oh, what a cute boy! Or?", but it’s not a layout about Tuva looking like a boy… :) It’s not really a layout about Tuva at all, but it’s more a reflection over the world we live in... :) Check out the Cocoa Daisy blog, to read the story about how I ended up creating this layout.

Cocoa Daisy December kit sneak...!!!

Here's a sneak of what I've created so far, using the Cocoa Daisy December kit. This may be my favourite kit this year!

Crazy life and string gel...

Helloo....! Is anyone out there...? :) I hope to be back to blogging a bit more often. I do have "stuff" to post... I just need to find the time to actually do it. I hope you're all fine! We have been a bit ill on and off for a whole bunch of weeks and life seems to be stuck in "crazy mode". Sometimes I'm totally ok with things being the way they are and I just try to follow along, and other times all I want to do is push the stop button and slow things down. I can't believe Christmas is only a month away!

Anyway... here's a layout with a photo of Alva from this summer. I've used string gel and acrylic paint to create the background and I have to say that string gel is so much fun that I wish I had at least a couple of weeks to do nothing but to experiment with it. :) The effect is sooo cool!

Edit: I guess I didn't explain too well what string gel actually is. :) It's a medium for acrylic paint, with a syrup honey-like consistency. What I did was mix the paint with the gel in a small jar and then I poured the paint onto my layout, slowly moving the jar around. So much fun!

I hope you've had a lovely weekend and that you'll stop by again soon, since I'll be so good at updating from now on... ;)

Stamping challenge...!

I posted a new challenge over at Cocoa Daisy today! We want you to get your stamps out!

We've had lots of fun stamping related inspiration on the Cocoa Daisy blog lately, and the CD stamps are only getting better and better...!

I used the Mod leaves stamp set for my layout. It's a layout about a very happy boy! :)

Journaling...

A little peak from my journal again... I'm not done with this page yet, but I thought I'd share it anyway. Do you see the Cocoa Daisy stamp I used at the bottom and at the top of the page? I love it!

I haven't been drawing much lately, but I'm really longing to do it more. And to paint. I want to paint big! And small. :) And I want to journal more. If you find some spare time that you don't need, will you pass it on to me please? ;)

På lördag håller jag kurs på Pyssloteket! Det ska bli så skoj!

I'll be teaching at Pyssloteket (Stockholm) on Saturday! I'm really looking forward to the fun!

Paint a cow...!

I had so many different ideas for this cow, that I got from Anna at Pyssloteket! :) I had so much fun painting and doodling, using acrylic paint as a base and covering the entire cow in Glimmer Glam Chandelier.

I also used some shrink plastic to create a necklace with stars.... and a feather coloured with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist.
