I really love seeing all the different takes on how to use the Cocoa Daisy kits each month. It's sometimes surprising how it's possible to achieve results that are differing so much from each other, using the same kit! This month's kit - Record Label - felt a bit challenging for some of us in the DT, while others say it's their favourite kit ever! I have to admit that I don't often go for red and orange if I get to choose the colours myself, but I love all the fun little bits and pieces included in this kit and I'm really happy with this layout - my favourite this month. The orange and green was just perfect for these photos!
I used the main kit, as well as add ons Buddy and Johnny B. Check out the kit + add ons here. It goes on sale on May 1st. (Subscribers are able to buy add ons starting on the 28th each month.)

Dylusions love!
I finally got my hands on some of the Dylusions Spray Inks and wow, I loved playing with them! I created this art journaling page for Pyssloteket, where all 18 colours are available of course.
I also used a little Distress Paint on this page. I have to play more with those, but the first impression is good!

Finally some spring weather...!
We've been enjoying some really sunny weather this weekend. It is finally beginning to feel like spring for real and I am loving it! It felt like this winter was going to last forever.
Here's a peak from my journal... Acrylic paint, stamping, drawing... I used several of my Cocoa Daisy stamps... perhaps you can spy the ink blob to the right... and the arrow with the heart is one of the more recent stamps.

Mi tant!
This is one of the layouts that I actually created - from start to finish - on the big crop the other week. :) I often don't finish my pages until I'm back home again, because I want to add some stitching or something else that I forgot to bring. But I decided that this one had to be completed and so it was. :)
It's about how Tuva says "my wagon" in a very cute and funny way, but too difficult to translate. I believe almost everything I used is from previous Cocoa Daisy kits.

A scraplift, some very fun sneaks and grab bags!
I dived into the Cocoa Daisy gallery a couple of weeks ago, and found some fabulous inspiration. See my blog post here. I also decided to scraplift a layout made by Amber because I was so inspired by her use of colour and the happy feel of her layout.
I used the Cocoa Daisy April kit for my layout and here is what I came up with. Amber's theme - a family game night - inspired me to take out these photos of Tuva and a puzzle. :) The blue frame was coloured with mist and I also used some green mist on the background.
And... here's a sneak of what is up next - the Cocoa Daisy May kit! It looks like such a fun kit!
The next sneak is of something that I'm looking forward to sooo very much! Project Art! This is a starter kit, that will be perfect if you want to get started with art journaling! With the purchase of the starter kit you will get an introductory art journaling video presentation by Ronda Palazzari!
Each month there will then be a new Project Art kit with a different mixed media item and other bits and pieces that will be fun to use in your journal. And... what makes me even more excited is that Christine has asked me to work with these products! (Thank you so much Christine!) I will get to inspire you (hopefully! :) and to show you a lot of messy and fun techniques to use in your journals!
Finally, it's a very good idea to check out this blog post, scroll down just a little bit to where it says "Grab bag" and read about the different ways to get a Free Cocoa Daisy grab bag! :)

Back to blogging...
It's been so long that I've almost forgotten how to write a blog post... :) I had a FABULOUS weekend at the Scrap and Pearl Event in Stockholm last weekend. It was a crazy big crop where I met so many wonderful people - some of which I have known for years but never before met IRL! I got to sit and scrap for hours and hours (even though time went by so fast it felt like minutes ;), I got to meet the wonderful Nat again (check out her blog post about the event!) and I also attended one of her fab workshops, I got to hang with my friends for two whole days... well, it was a really great weekend. I already signed up for next year. :)
I did get a few layouts done too... I will try to catch up on the blogging... first out is a layout I've made for Pyssloteket.
I used to do these curved designs a lot a few of years ago and I felt a sudden urge to do it again. :) It's an easy way to create some interest, even if the layout as a whole is really simple. The photos are from my dear brother's wedding last summer. I love Anna's flowers so much and this patterned paper from We R Memorykeepers goes so well with the yellow and green. The complete list of supplies can be found in the Pyssloteket blog.
